Anderson College of Business and Computing Supplemental Policies
Academic Advising
Upon admission to the Anderson College of Business and Computing students are assigned an academic advisor who is available to assist with educational goals, learning formats, Regis resources, and degree program requirements. For questions specific to assignments, grading, attendance, and other class-related activities, contact your instructor directly.
Attendance and Participation
Students are required to attend classes, including online classes, on a regular basis. Absences must be arranged with the instructor and must conform with university and instructor policies on attendance. Those seeking absence accommodations based on their protected class status should contact Student Disability Services.
Faculty are required to complete an attendance confirmation. The University reserves the right to administratively drop students who are incorrectly enrolled and for non-attendance. Depending on the point of withdrawal, students are eligible for refunds as per Refund Table.
Student Responsibilities
Students are expected to have college-level writing skills when they enter a program. These skills include writing mechanics (grammar, spelling, punctuation, word usage, and structure) along with analysis of issues, support of position, and clarity of thought. Each student is responsible for meeting the writing standards designated by the degree program.
Students are expected to review, understand, and abide by the university’s regulations, procedures, requirements, and deadlines as described in official publications. Further, students are required to familiarize themselves with the university catalog (including policies on incomplete grades and grade appeals,) student handbook, course syllabus, and all requirements therein. Asserting a lack of knowledge of university regulations will not be accepted as a basis for an exception to these regulations.

Contribute to the richness and vitality of our Regis community by recognizing our various identities and experiences including, but not limited to, age, gender, race/ethnicity, class, disability, sexual orientation, religion and other forms of human difference.
-
Fulfill our Jesuit Catholic mission through each member of our community by maintaining a humane atmosphere where the human rights of every individual are recognized and respected through words and actions
Should an individual ever feel as though these values are not being upheld in the academic or residential environment, we encourage that person to contact the Community of Belonging and Equity, LDC 124, diverse@regis.edu, 303-458-5301. You can also fill out a Biased Incident Report on their website.
Grading Scale and Equivalent Points
Late Assignments/ Assignment Revisions Policy
Faculty can provide specific late assignments/assignment revisions policies. If these are not provided, then the policy below applies. Occasionally, work, health, and family obligations have priority over course work. If you experience these issues, notify the faculty in advance. If an assignment is due, make every effort to submit your assignment on time. In the case of a negotiated absence or delay, assignments turned in by the agreed upon due date will receive full credit. If you have not negotiated with the faculty, assignments turned in late will be graded, and then reduced by 25%. Assignments will not be accepted later than one week after the due date.
Syllabus Flexibility
Posted syllabi in the Anderson College of Business and Computing are intended to give students guidance in what may be covered during the semester. Course activities listed in the syllabus will be followed as closely as possible. The instructor, however, reserves the right to modify, supplement and make changes to the syllabus as course needs arise in accordance and in alignment with course outcomes. For syllabi used in traditional (16-week/daytime) courses, contact the instructor.
Confidential and Proprietary Information
For class projects that relate to a student’s employment, the student is responsible for complying with all applicable policies of the employer, including those related to non-public, confidential or proprietary information.
Student Standards of Conduct
In the spirit of the Jesuit mission of Regis University, Anderson College of Business and Computing students and faculty share responsibility for maintaining an appropriate learning environment. This includes using information technology responsibly in online and other courses. In order for faculty members to provide and students to receive effective instruction in classrooms, laboratories, online courses, and other learning areas, the College and faculty expect students to conduct themselves in an orderly and cooperative manner and not engage in disruptive behavior, disorderly conduct or intentionally interfere in the freedom of expression of others.
“Disruptive Behavior” or “Disorderly Conduct” as applied in all academic settings and formats (i.e., classroom, online, independent study, etc.) means behavior that a reasonable faculty member or student would view as intentionally or recklessly interfering with normal academic functions, university events, or university sponsored activities. Examples include, but are not limited to: persistently speaking or commenting without being recognized or interrupting other speakers; behavior that distracts the class from the subject matter or discussion; or, in extreme cases, physical threats, harassing behavior or personal insults; refusal to comply with faculty direction including refusal to work in a group, using a cell phone during a classroom session, inappropriate mediated communication; or behavior that has a negative impact in any learning environment.
Disruptive behavior also includes any other behavior covered by the Regis University Student Handbook: Code of Conduct which can be found at www.regis.edu. Students who fail to adhere to acceptable behavioral standards may be subject to discipline which may include reprimand, dismissal from the class and/or expulsion from the Anderson College of Business and Computing. Students who wish to appeal a decision regarding the consequences of their behavior should follow the Appeal Process outlined in the Regis University Student Handbook.
